Infants Remembered In Silence, Inc. (IRIS) was founded in 1987 to assist parents, family, friends, and professionals who had experienced or been touched by the death of a child in early pregnancy (miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy etc.) or from premature birth, stillbirth, neo-natal death, sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), unexplained death of a child (SUDC), birth defects, illness, accidents, and all other forms of infant and early childhood death. “When we started IRIS we had hoped to help one family a year, 30 years later we find ourselves assisting approximately 6,000 – 7,000 people each year. It’s not always easy to come up with the funding to assist that many people, the Annual Breakfast and Bingo Bash event is one of our major fundraiser and a great help to many bereaved parents in our area. People know that the Sunday after the Super Bowl is dedicated to helping IRIS raise funds and awareness.” Said Diana Kelley - IRIS Founder and Executive Director and founder. IRIS services are available free of charge to families that live in, deliver in, or bury a child within Dodge, Goodhue, LeSueur, Rice, Steele, and Waseca counties. Many services are available nationally and internationally.  If you have questions about the IRIS program, are interested in volunteering, making a donation or silent auction contribution to the event, or would like to take part in the event please contact the IRIS office at (507) 334-4748, email: support@irisRemembers.com, visit the website at www.irisRemembers.org or find us on Facebook by searching Infants Remembered In Silence.
