Our family sent our first born Zachary to live in heaven on February 6,1999. He was a full term stillborn. This was truly the darkest day of my life and many member of my family also. We did not have a IRIS advocate come to the hospital due to a misunderstanding. But we were given the information on the oraganization and also were given Zach's gown and blanket from IRIS. I contacted IRIS within days of leaving the hospital. I have been a volunteer for almost 11 years now. IRIS has helped me cope with the loss of Zach and the subsequent successful pregnancies of our 3 children. Once again we needed IRIS's help when we had a miscarriage. I do not think any of our family would be as strong as we are today if it hadn't been for the support we have recieved and been able to give with IRIS.
