Halo of Blue

Alone in my room
one silent night.
My eyes beheld
a heavenly sight.

Twas like a dream
yet real and true.
I saw you there
in a halo of blue.

You came to me
in my hour of sorrow.
To let me know
you’ll be there tomorrow.

Your eyes were aglow
your smile was tender.
You were there to assure me
of our Lord’s great splendor.

From that moment on
my son, you will see
your vision of love
has set me free.

For now you are there
with our Lord up above
and my heart is exploding
with an undying love.

For you have not left
and all this is true
you’ll always be there
in your halo of blue.
