No one ever asks the Dads
No time for men to be sad¬-
We get to carry on,
To be strong
For those who cannot be.
So often we get to
Hold those who lose,
Yet we cannot mourn.
Feelings-
We aren’t allowed to have them.
Life goes on, but
Sometimes...
Sometimes we need the alone time,
The time to let go
The time to mourn,
But no one knows,
Because
No one ever asks the Dads.
