October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month! In 1988, President Ronald Regan declared October to be National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. This month is now acknowledged worldwide. October 15 has become Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. You are encouraged to honor and remember all infants and children that have passed away throughout the month, and especially on the 15th. One great way is to participate in the Pregnancy and Infant Loss Day candle lighting. For more info on this event please visit the IRIS calendar for October 15th Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day.
