Emily’s Smile

I met her not too long ago…she had her
mama’s smile
something in this little girl…changed me for
all time.
She had a way of brightening up everything she
touched, and though it hurts to see her go…
I know this much

She’s walkin’ with the angels now
she brightens heaven’s sky
she’s singing, “I love Jesus” now
in Heaven’s lullaby
and every time I’m missing her
I’ll just close my eyes
and then I’ll see it… Emily smile

We were touched by her sunshine
we heard her laughter on the air
a kiss…a hug…goodbye…then she’s not there

Because she’s walkin’ with the angels now
she brightens heaven’s sky
Can you here her singing, “I love Jesus” in
Heaven’s lullaby
and every time we’re missing her
we can close our eyes
and then we’ll feel it…can’t you just see it…
