There is a Hush

There is a hush, all is so quiet,
I hear the tick of the clock yet time seems to stand still,
Yet perhaps it is only my heart …
There seems to be an answer for everything, telemarketers call,
salesmen on the streets, advertisements on the pages of
newspapers, magazines, and the world wide web – offering
solutions to needs and offering goods that we do not even need.
Yet, there seems to be no answer to resolve this ache in my
heart. Now that my little one has gone – no solution we can
contrive. No answer for death.
But if we look deeper back in time to a little stable in Bethlehem,
We see the answer laying in a manger filled with hay.
Yes, God so loved the world, (and we parents, and our babies)
that he gave us his only Son (His baby) – that whoever believes
in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. He will right
all wrongs, restore our losses, renew our hearts, help us to
believe, that there may be hope where there was no hope.
“Surely He (Jesus) has borne our grief’s and carried our
sorrows… and by his stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:4a,5b
Jesus said…, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who
believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives
and believes in me will never die.” John 11:25a
With this hope, have a blessed Christmas!
