It’s hard to believe it’s been six years since we held our sweet Gracelyn Louise in our arms. We are forever grateful for the care and support we received — and continue to receive — from Infants Remembered in Silence (IRIS) and from Diana. Their compassion carried us through some of our darkest days and helped us honor Gracie Lou’s short but beautiful life.
Gracie Lou’s story began in March 2019, when we were overjoyed to learn we were expecting. At our first appointment, we saw Baby Tusa moving on the ultrasound, but soon learned there were serious concerns. After testing, we received the heartbreaking news that our baby girl had full Trisomy 18 and a hole in her heart.
We cherished every moment of our pregnancy, creating memories with her big brothers. On September 27, 2019, Gracelyn Louise Tusa was born, a tiny but mighty 3-pound peanut. She was surrounded by love and peacefully passed away in my arms.
IRIS was by our side before and after Gracie’s birth, providing comfort, guidance, and priceless photos we’ll treasure forever.
Now, six years later, we honor Gracie Lou by joining the IRIS Turkey Trot ! You are welcome to join us and walk or run with us in her memory — or support our team with a donation.
Your support helps IRIS continue their incredible work for families facing the unimaginable. Together, we keep Gracie Lou’s memory alive and give back to those who were there for us.
